Michelle L Daniels

OIT
Software Quality Engineer
Like most people who come in to quality assurance, Michelle's journey to become a tester included an interesting and surprisingly relevant background. After working for years in Communication and Marketing in Chicago, Michelle moved back to Denver hoping to find a position in her area of expertise, meeting planning. The only reasonable position she could find was as a motor vehicle technician with Denver County. Five years later she made the transition to Information Technology in Tier I and Tier II support. Shortly after, she was asked to be the first software tester for the now legacy Driver License system. In 2016 she lead the state IT testing efforts for the new DRIVES system. DRIVES is a $90 million dollar, multi-year project that replaced both the driver license and motor vehicle systems, taking mainframe and DOS based proprietary products to a state of the art COTS Web application.
